Be interesting as a comparison to see how Australia do against Japan on Wednesday night in the opening game in their group in the Asian Cup. Apparently four or five Japan players have not been released by their German clubs who are in mid-season (will have available the same team they fielded against the Football Ferns) but Australia have no such problems:

In Germany, Abby Erceg scored the winner for USV Jena away to Bayer Leverkusen on the weekend, leaving Jena fifth on the table behind Bayern Munich. Erceg's fifth goal from 19 games so far. Jena have three Football Ferns (striker Hearn - nine goals - and defender Percival - two goals too), all regular starters.
