So nothing vaguely radical there?
is van der Meer a good prospect?

Marisa van der Meer was really good for Mainland Pride in winning the national women's league this summer.

First choice left-back for the Pride for two seasons now since age 16 and first choice for NZ at the u-17 World Cup in Uruguay 2018.

Turns 18 just after the Algarve Cup so more one for the future.

Dutch immigrant parents, speaks three languages, English, Dutch and one other.

As Andrew Voerman has commented, midfielders Gabby Rennie and Macey Fraser are two other exciting teenage Mainland Pride prospects worthy of senior national honours in the future.

Many talented young South Island footballers with young goalkeeper inclusion Anna Leat being from Arrowtown.

Northern Lights and former NZ u-17 centre-back Aneka Mittendorf looks a great prospect too for future squads.

Another one to watch is striker Nicola Dominokovich aged 24 who was the Pride's third-highest goalscorer. A lot of pace, strong background in athletics as well as football (father Ross was a top NZ sprinter), born in Canada, footballer at Jacksonville State University, USA, based in USA since aged 17.
