Hold the Ferns coach to the same standard as the Men's coach please.
Whoever is in charge of the Ferns will benefit from seeding and home advantage, they shouldn't be used to support the continued appointment of a coach.
Lets ask some basic, but fair questions...
1: Is the team getting the results expected, considering the investment being put in to the team... no.
2. Are we seeing progression in the way we are playing/competing with nations ranked higher than us... no
3, Is the team playing a brand of football, likely to promote the game (and as promised by the coach)... no
What has she actually done that should give anyone confidence in her ability to help make this Fern squad competitive come the world cup?

What does 'competitive' mean though? Losing to the USA 2-0, as opposed to 5-0? Playing in NZ now, the Ferns could probably hold the US to a 2-0 scoreline, as opposed to being whipped by about 5, which happens every time they regularly go Stateside as cannon fodder.
The Ferns lost 2-0 (and was 1-0 until very late) to World's 11th ranked team Norway in Oslo. 11th ranked team in the men's game is Germany!! Would we be happy if the AWs went to Berlin and held the Die Mannschaft to 1-0 until the 90th min!! Sure the depth in the men's game is vastly superior to women's international game, but the Norwegians were a good side.
Team needs to improve, but they again have mostly being playing top 20 sides. They have also often had their best players like Erceg, White, Keat unavailable. Captain Riley missed both these games. Percival as well, one of the few playing regularly at a top level.
For sure the jury's out on Klimkova. But as someone else said, she was signed on a 5 year deal, so she ain't going anywhere. NZF had to payout Heraf from memory, why would they sack Klimkova this early, wasting more cash. She will rightly be judged on the World Cup in 12 mths, both on results and style.
Then if it's all bad, the big question will be why did NZF sign her on a 5 year deal!! Lets see what happens in 12 mths.
Edit - and one major advantage that say Hay has in comparison to Klimkova is a host of young talented, technical players. All of whom were good players well before they came to him & the AWs. Klimkova doesn't have that yet, though obviously the Nix ALW team is large step in changing that.
Edit 2 - FYI see Portugal (FIFA WR 30) held Matildas to a 1-1 (WR 12) draw earlier today. Wales one spot below Portugal at 31, Ferns at 22.
