I'm not sure they have. Might be comp or stadium pass tickets?

it's not unusual for ticket tout sites to advertise tickets for sale before they actually get them

Dunno. Maybe. Forties. Pakeha. I guess that’s enough.

In a distant life, shore sheep as one summer uni job. Not sure if privileged kids do that.

Others may argue a life of privilege is having other people pay for stuff, rather than your own hard earned.

Nothing like a semi political rant to get the temperatures boiling. Apologies for the insensitivity.

Still think match is reasonably priced, which in my clumsy way was looking to state.

Wife, 3 kids, they come first before a game. I've been lucky enough to have a wife that has allowed me to attend. A twice in a lifetime opportunity (Bahrain game was the very best experience). When renting etc there are other things to consider, it is not always about people either being successful or being stuck on low wage jobs. Glad your life worked out as it has. I'll be working full time till I'm 70. Those are the dice I rolled and can live with it.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Sounds like a few coming from Australia

Know a group of Peruvians flying over from Queensland. The NZ visa can be a problem for them and not cheap ($200??).

Puts a bit of perspective to the squealing of some NZ football ‘fans’ about $100 match tickets

Maybe some of those NZ fans you're having a dig at actually might have trouble justifying $100 on a football match. I've read several people saying that the game has been priced out of their range. I can afford to go, some people aren't in a position to. Digs like yours aren't necessary.

Bull shark. If you are a passionate fan, your ambition should be how do I make an extra $100.

This week how much TV did you watch, how much time on Facebook, how much time looking at 'funny' cat videos on You Tube etc etc???? Basically did you completely waste say 5 hours this week where you could have earned $20/hr = extra $100.

This is a game played every 4 years. So an extreme view would be can I think of a way to make an extra $100 in the next 4 years.

I spent 5 years at uni, plus another 3 years bumming around London (had completely wrong degree to make any serious cash over there) or backpacking overseas. I know what it's like live off an oily rag - but my goal was always how do I find the cash to do something, I seriously wanted to do. I did any myriad of shark jobs to earn that cash. A positive mindset of where do I find the money takes you a long way in life.

Now in my forties I'm semi retired, having had some business success. Read books like Rich Dad Poor Dad or Life of Non Conformity for some inspiration.

Of course an alternative is to think where can I save $100, ie not go to the pub for a few weeks - and that's better than just moaning about your financial predicament/or blaming the govt! - but it's only by thinking positive thoughts about the world is my oyster, and thereby cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset  that you will kick big goals.

Rant over.

How's the new government treating you buddy? Still got that "positive mindset" thing going on I hope?

Middle East seats seem reasonable, but are you really going to see much of the game from there unless you're up the Burj Khalifa?

After the hassle of trying to buy 10 tickets (more than the 8 max you could buy online), I have had 2 people in the group pull out.

So will put it out here if anyone missed out or know someone who missed out, 2 platinum tickets available. Aisle 26 row DD (back of the uncovered). Only want my costs back so $269.70 (incl share ticketek fees) for them both. Send me a message or flick me an email fcshaza@gmail.com

Anyone after White Noise tickets? Got two going spare.

Permalink Permalink
over 8 years ago · edited over 8 years ago · History

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I won’t now be going to the game on Saturday so I’ve got a White Noise Zone ticket in Row M up for grabs. $95, I don’t charge a handling fee! Hit me up if you, or anyone you know, is interested.

Ticket now sold.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I have a room booked at the James Cook for Fri & Sat night which I no longer need. Needs to be cancelled by Wednesday unless someone wants it - will cost you less than $400 for 2 nights for a double room

Has the game sold out yet? Going to stick these on Trade Me, just wondering if recovering costs is realistic or if i need to offer for cheap to get some money back

Last I heard it hasn't sold out, could try go for even money back on Trade Me.

Personally would prefer it wasn't unaffordable for as many people, but if the aim is to maximise both the crowd size and revenue (which it was), it looks like they pretty much nailed it.

Is there enough buzz around town to attract the general Welly sports fan?

I'd guess quite a few of those would be the restricted view seats.

A heads up. My so-called mate for the game will probably not be able to make now it unless he can get out of a commitment (he's trying but its a bit pathetic). Acknowledging he'll likely fail I may actually have the last spare un-allocated White Noise Zone ticket and it will probably be up for grabs tomorrow.

Its in Aisle 21, Row K. It cost me the regulation $95 so it could be on at that price for anyone wanting it. I'll know tomorrow. The only downside is that they'd have to be standing beside me - but I'm promising to be a bit silly :-) .

Post on here and let me know if you, or anyone you want to bring to the game (but not necessarily be seen with during it) would be keen - I guess its sort of a provisional waiting list subject to confirmation that its free.

Sorry i can't confirm just yet. I had trouble getting Bahrain tickets last time and it was just excruciating hanging out for one. But a last minute miracle did occur so I hope I may be able to help someone tomorrow.

Cheers
