I don't quite know what to say. There's a new scarf:

Which is ok...

And a new Flag:

Which is isn't.

So, where to find a large flag, with the fern in black in the middle, and New Zealand Football below it...  Basically the bottom right corner of the one above.

By the way, where did the tour thread go?

I've got a black flag that has a silver fern and 'new zealand' on it that I'm gonna take over with me.

Not sure what happened to the tour thread.  THink there has been a few issues with the website today.

same here, and the AW scarf that they were selling for the Wellington game last year, to be honest this one is very average at most! but I'd probably end up getting one anyway.

I thinks its a sweet scarf, I'll getting one for sure. I also think its great (and not to mention long overdue) that NZF are pushing the AWs as a brand, even if only crappy merch for now. But its a start.

I just dont think it would be a wise idea to wear that scarf or wave that flag in South Africa.
Nothing wrong with the NZ Flag

There will i imagine be a put of a push on NZ merchandise prior to the WC. A little extra revenue for them.

You can't beat the scarves that were brought out for the Bahrain playoff game.

Scarfs are pretty good I reckon, and even if you dont love it, it would be nice to support nz football a bit and buy some official merch. The more money they can make out of this whole thing the better.

LOL I hadn't thought about how others... esp in Sth Africa might take the wearing of "All White" gear. I'm amazed John Minto isn't up in arms

The NZ flag is pointless because the opposition can't read english. It would be better for the flag to have a white background with large black coloured fern in the middle of it.

[You may have New Zealand Football written in small letter below it.]

The point is that most icon part of our country is the fern and that is not large enough to make an impact on others.

I dont think NZF have been targetting travelling world cup bound football fans with these items, they just want to get the brand out there - at home. And if you were going to the world cup, those little flags would be useless anyway - you would want something HUGE.

What, are they small flags?? What a cheap cop out then . . .

Remember those free little black flags for the All Blacks that attach on the car windows . . . it's didn't last long.

Whereas I made a real table top sized black flag with a single white fern in the middle of it and I am proud of waving that for ages. Still have it for special occasions. It does not cost to much to make. $10-$60 each flag depending on what you want. Get a good sized amount of group of people and go to a sewing machinist and get a deal happening. Supply the materials and the design and you can get a fairly sweet deal. You will be surprised in what you can get done.

I made a killing selling flags years ago with the NPC in Otago as they got to the finals and I still see those flags about in game. The flags sold for both Canterbury and Otago was exclusively shown on Holmes prematch interviews with fans at a castle street flat with arrangements with Dunedin City Council Event Management just one hour prior to showtime. Lol, they practically running up to us while we were selling in the octagon and grouped both fan sets.

But really what I am saying, if that White Noise can make unofficial flags of a simple kind and do well at a cheap price when you have the numbers. Just have a recent double check with the stadium and competition regulation rules, but it should be OK.AllWhitebelievr2010-04-24 02:18:24

I was working for BP at the time of those flags (we were the ones handing them out as part of a Master Card promotion), and they were flying out the door like hot cakes. I was working the morning of the ABs loss, and suddenly nobody wanted them lol some customers were like "nah f**k that". We ended up throwing boxes full of them in the skip

LUBS!!

I have a black one which I wear religiously. And now I must have a white one!

Those AWs shorts are sweet as well, I already have 3 pairs (black, white and blue). Wear them at every training
