Ollie Derlin aged 13 ex-Sacred Heart College, Auckland. Son of former NZ Davis Cup player Bruce Derlin.

Has been dividing his time between NZ and Germany recently (his dad coaches tennis in Germany).

Recently signed by Borussia Dortmund youth team:

"...While in Germany six months ago with his father Bruce, a former New Zealand Davis Cup captain who now coaches tennis in Europe, Ollie was scouted while playing for a local club.

He was invited to an open trial and became the first Kiwi to be accepted into a major Bundesliga club. [crap of course  - What about Wynton + Marco + Aaron Lines and Mark Burton who were youth team players at Werder Bremen?]

...An intensive 14-week course to learn the German language also came with the package.

.Derlin played club football in the Auckland suburb of Onehunga under the watchful eye of former All Whites captain Danny Hay.

The holder of a German, Swiss and New Zealand passport, Derlin says that representing the All Whites at a World Cup is a dream of his..."
