yea i've been super surprised at how good these guys are, a golden generation on it's way? Too early to tell?
Does anyone have a link to old U17 team lists i.e. i'd love to know how many of these guys actually graduate to senior caps?

Thought we should have had a freekick on the edge of the box or a penalty for the challange that resulted in the Czech boy going off injured near the end.
Even though we lost we dominated for large parts of the 2nd half and I am pretty impressed with the skill level of some of our guys. At times we were knocking the ball around very well and on another day the Czech keeper wouldn't have saved those shots.
If the boys can keep improving ove rthe next fews years we are going to have some good players coming through for the All Whites.
Going down down 1-0 to one of the top U17 sides in Europe is no disgrace especially as the goal was a cracker. Well done to the boys and the coaching staff.

Hard to tell at this stage, as only one round's been played in Groups E and F. Will have a better idea this time tomorrow.
3rd placed teams in Groups A and C have 1 point each, but both could potentially get to 4 points after the last round considering their fixtures. To be expected that 3rd placed team in group B will end up with more than 3 points.

Thought some pretty good performances and some bloody ave one's. Left back was shocking and rhys jordan in the middle was crape. Thought Edge did well and run himself into the ground. Payne looked good in second half.

Bit of a dream, but wouldnt it be great if these players and the Under 20 players continued to commit to improving their football over the next decade rather than giving it away or being tempted to lower grades through cash incentives. Not always possible of course.

USA vs NZ ........ suddenly reminded me of the USA vs England clash this time last year in the World Cup - watched the game in a crowded pub in England and I don't think I've ever seen a lively pub atmosphere dissipate so quickly.

Brazil 1 - 0 Australia FT. For 75 mins Aussies competed well, and Brazil looked pretty ordinary, tbh. From a needless foul from Australia just outside the box Adryan scored with a classic Brazilian set piece goal... and that was largely it. Brazilians perked up from then on, Aussies a little deflated and very tired, nothing much from there til the end.
