Your actual" figures aren't actual football playing figures though, are they? One known fact that I do have Smithy is that Chch City Council grounds have declining usage of rugby fields and increasing demand for football fields; so not sure rugby is that strong down here at junior (U17) level. Even traditional bastions of rugby schools have growing football 1st and 2nd XIs. The beautiful game is stronger than you might think on the Mainland.
