I am sure the NZ boys did their best but lets face it the standard of football in NZ is way below the standard of football being played in many other countries by boys of similar age and younger.
The skills, training and competition is much more intense overseas. Playing just in NZ will not develop our young talent.
Hope they do better in their next two games.
Ah what rubbish, Look at Australia - there U17 and U20 are playing a new system. When they lose they still play well doing against any opposition (Vietnam thrashed them 6-0 but they still played well). What's our team doing? Hoof ball no matter who there playing. And btw New Zealand has been playing football since the 18th century.
And to say "Oh well it was Uruguay just really doesn't cut it. Thinking like that you might as well forfeit the right to play in the W/Cup to start with.
I can just imagine if the All Blacks supports said exactly what you just said about there teams. (Full of SHITE!)
