@cluboranje, although you clearly have somehow been shown the metrics and stats from the game which I believe have not been released to the public... it doesn’t take a football genius (which I am not) to notice that a few players did not play their best games. It is hard for these boys. Their first ever game at a World Cup, that’s a lot of pressure. For some of them their first ever game on television. Lots of them I’m sure had family in the crowd who had traveled and sacrificed a lot for their sons watching. That’s an awful lot of pressure already on these boys. Let alone the pressure people like you point on them by going to the public to say that they have had a poor game. I agree with Nik and I have also been following marko for a number of years. I hope Stamenic does not mind me saying that he did not play his best game, but he also had moments within the game where he made a big difference. I am yet to watch the Brazil game but from what I saw in the Angola game stamenic was very positively influencing the game. In my opinion there were others holding the team back, an example is van Hattum, almost every time he lost the ball he would go and make a unneeded foul, infact his first foul is actually what Angola’s first goal came from. Towards the end of the game I thought he got very lucky not to go into the refs book. Now @cluboranje you are not the only one who somehow has been exposed to the stats that are not public yet but another example of van-hattum is that he had only 1 shot in the game, for me playing as a striker you need to be getting more shots off. It doesn’t surprise me that the nz boys didn’t get a result with the “key striker” taking only one shot. Not only this but making only 13 passes as a forward is not up to the standard that I believe van-hattum can achieve to. This is not a dig at oskar I am purely just using him as an example there are other players for me that weren’t up to standard including players in the backline and midfield. I hope when I watch the Brazil game I see much more positives than I did from this Angola game.
