56' GOAL!!! VAN 2-0 PNG. Bong KALO doubles the lead with a sublime volley. The home crowd loved that. #OFCU20M #VANvPNG

The 20s are doing well in Vanuatu. If they get into the top two - the final - and qualify - they still have Mcgarry, Probert and the Blackpool fellow to add to their squad. Hopefully others will develop by then too.

The rent a crowd of cheering kids for NZ was a nice touch. They must have drawn the silver fern card out of the deck. The u20s running over to them and hi5ing them after the game was also classic stuff.

I see Declan Edge is in charge of Vanuatu - if they make the final it will be the  NZF whole football plan vs Declans plan. Interesting.

Under 20s just qualified for 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea. (Both finalist of the OFC U-20 goes through).

Beat New Caledonia 3-1 after going a goal down. Goals to Dyer 2x and Cox. Was surprised no one was sent by the end of the game as 10 yellow cards where dished out.

Will play either Vanuatu or Solomon Islands in the final

Awesome. Vanuatu versus NZ in the final. Should have a nice Edge to it.

Hopefully it's a bit more open with them both knowing they've qualified - the exact reason most finals are dull.

Vanuatu scored the winning goal in the 4th minute of the 5 additional minutes - managed to get it past the Solomons keeper Desmond Tutu, who has obviously found a new lease of life after years of being a man of the cloth in South Africa

I caught the Vanuatu game on OFC tv and the crowd support was amazing. The kiwis will have a 12th player to contend with in the final for sure. If the U20s had been played in NZ I wonder if we would have got the same noisy crowds? Great support. Good on you Vanuatu.

Well done on qualifying for another FIFA tournament NZ. I imagine every time Australia miss out on major tournaments there is a debate about - meaningful competitive games in Asia vs a very good chance of qualifying for every age group tournament. Especially with two spots available in Oceania age grade now. I guess they were only thinking of the senior mens team when they joined Asia?
