Its this black and white: Danny has massive ego problem and issues with coaches in the game.. reference to Jose and Paul Temple getting released of their duties pre U17s World Cup, 1cycle back, and after qualifiers..Who get the gig to the World Cup? DH.

Des didn't last long in the role of assistant to the AW and now released of h``is duties with the U23s... once DH got appointed Head Coach.

More questions:

Where the Fudge did Martin Bullick appear from to get the latest U17s role? I am aware of some extremely impressive applications from local coaches, who didn't even get a thank you but no thank you response.. I think Martin was part of the Neil Emblem, Darren Basely group that DH was the driver behind getting them to NZ. DH would have been on the interview panel.

Tony Readings for the U20s..Again a massive question mark around that appointment! DH Eastern Suburbs TD/Head Coach 2018/19..Tony Reading Eastern Suburbs TD/Head Coach 2019/20. DH would have been on the interview panel.

I believe: said contracts, Covid and finances are irrelevant here..It is purely down to DH calling all shots and Pragnel subservient to DH.

I imagine the truth lies somewhere amongst this post. Hay's history of seemingly getting rid of otherwise respected coaches, is a big part of his PR problem.

Though as Voerman has identified a new U19/20s coach was required (Readings), as initially the Olympics were to clash with U19s OFC qualifying. Des couldn't be at both.

I guess alot of it boils down to Hay seemingly wanting to choose his own assistants, or coaching people he has to work alongside with at NZF. Is that right or wrong?

Right if having an assistant "thrust upon him" he didn't want, leaded to massive dysfunction/bad energy in the AWs setup.

Wrong if a very successful well liked and respected guy like Des is lost.
