IMHO McCowatt is unproven after a year at the Nix with some good patches but not a consistent run of great ones like other u23s (like Cacace or Devlin (if selected). So the selection of the front three with be interesting, he’s not an automatic choice for me.

Just has a football brain behind his years and superb technique so, like McCowatt, it will be interesting to see how he turns up vs guys kicking around the A League like Lewis. He’s the player that can play the killer pass in this side.

Back in the day Hudson didn’t even put the guys in the Scandinavian leagues (like Dan Keat) on his map of global players yet they were playing in first division leagues.

Looking forward to seeing Cacace rip it up and how he has come on. Exciting times to just gauge where we are at after such a long time between drinks.

McC: Surely no more then a super sub although he does seem to be a Hay favourite.  Based on form etc he should be well down the pecking order.

Just:  Maybe a good brain but I'm unconvinced like Hudson that the level he's at is good enough to keep others playing regularly in the A League out of the starting XI.
