The only thing we will be missing from Boxall's omission is experience.

I rate Boxall as a player and it's good to have him around, but I think this will be a good opportunity for both Pijnaker and Stanger. 

I'll be honest, I rate Stanger over Pijnaker, but I reckon we won't be missing much, and game time for either Stanger or Pijnaker will benefit them as players. 

This is only my opinion though. Just think we will be better off playing a youngster next to Reid in this tournament over a CB pairing that will be likely retired in 5-6 years. 
I see a back three now, with Reid in the middle.

Can't see Hay changing formation just because Boxall is maybe out. Stanger & Pijnaker both have some reasonable experience (in pro club environments for at least 2 years, and a U20 WC each). They are not complete amateur novices, in what is mostly an age group U24 tourney after all.
