Isn't he just looking out for Number One? What's he going to do if he quits? Manage Tee Dubs?

If he'd left after the WC he could have got a well paid job in China or the Middle East at least (in fact I seem to recall rumours of him turning a few such offers down) but his subsequent record has probably scuttled that
