I think this has more to do with NZF, which is why I agree that van Hattum should bugger off.



If we had played on even some of those dates Ivan would have clocked up the big 100.  I'm a little gutted for him in that he's had such a long international career but will not crack 90 (even taking the 6/12 months away in 08/09).

While I can understand us not being able to afford to play against the big boys, games like the NZ A vs Jordan should have been a full international, same as against Thailand. 

We have the depth in players in NZ/Aussie to have played on some of those games against the likes of New Caledonia/Fiji/Tahiti/Indonesia/Singapore/Malaysia/Vietnam etc home or away.  They would have been good games too that would have kept the AWs in the public concious more, given fringe players that we talk about here the chance to prove themselves and would have prevented the "Christie Calamity" too.

This is the sort of thing Mexico does by the way.

Really can't blame Van Hattum either though as it was like this in the 90s as well.
