Whats your case for Elliott?

- experienced player, intelligent guy who is interested in the game, is currently a coach and has worked as a scout (and has links with the LA teams which has been a base for us recently)

- knows NZ football structures and limitations, familiar with players, knows the pacific island teams and what it's like playing over there

- knows International level well, knows what it takes to qualify

- knows professional level well

- ball player, ball on the deck type guy

- is a kiwi

- yes, he lacks coaching experience but like I said, I don't see it as International football being massively about on the ground coaching.  It's about preparation and players and I think he'd do a great job personally  If you're comparing him to Emblen, Emblen has coached 3 games at the Olympics and done some club coaching in NZ.  I know there is a backlash these days against players becoming coaches straight away, but let's be honest, the majority of coaches were players cause that's how you learn the game
