Two referee trios shortlisted for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil recently flew the flag for Oceania at a training seminar in Dubai demonstrating that the growth of the game in the region isn’t confined to players and coaches.
The two groups are made up of referee Norbert Hauata of Tahiti who is joined by Mark Rule of New Zealand and Tevita Makasina of Tonga and New Zealand referee Peter O’Leary with colleagues Jan Hendrick-Hintz of New Zealand and Ravinesh Kumar of Fiji.
