Is an international team? That's the problem with friendlies no matter who the opposition is, they are really just opposed training runs.

Yes, it would be awesome if we were playing Trinidad & Tobago or El Salvador, but Queretaro are currently a top 5 side in one of the top 10 leagues in the world. That's pretty decent. I certainly don't think it's worth angsting over or unleashing the "typical NZF, they're so shit" platitudes. No doubt many will though.

As you say Jeff, the most important thing is 180 minutes of football a month out from the real thing.
