Yea it is a bit of a square peg in a round hole situation from me there to be fair.
But I've been sold on these yanks/argentines suggesting we need to go route one big time, so I want fallon up top, and I like the idea of Wood being out there as well with his size. Rojas is simply our most talented ball player and is lightning on the break, so just has to be there for me. I wouldn't have Wood hugging the touchline like a winger, more inter-playing with fallon/rojas and moving up higher for the long balls - fallon and wood could cause a bit of havoc together jumping all over their defence, and wood is decent with it on the deck so can move out wider or drop deep, and inter-play with our mids etc (on the rare occasions we get the ball).
Basically I feel we lose too much size and physicality if we have rojas and barbarouses both out there, and what other options are there? Brockie I guess, but he's a weird one for me, scores goals (though not for the AWs) but goes missing a lot, which is the last thing we need in a game like this.
Watch Mexico 1-Honduras 2 Wood is similar to Carlos Costly and when they put a tall, striker at the beginning of 2nd half (bengtson) they have spaces to operate, of course the equalizer came from a rebound to poach, and the winner was a counterattack from Costly that he won with speed and physical presence. Maybe Barbarouses or Rojas, brockie and Wood center attack, and introducing Fallon at some stage to create some havoc and work alongside Wood.
Costly is 31 y o and 1,90 of height and very fast like Wood, Bengtson is 1, 88 and they both caused havoc because they were tall
