Exciting stuff, we should have killed it off though.

I bet the Chile players had a word about the double yellow booking cause the ref looked to have forgotten...

Good to get the three points, but we really should have killed the game off in the first half.

We really need to beat the English but that will be made all the more difficult by the fact that Percival won't be able to play after that stupid push on the Chilean player.

Yeah, our keeper was so irritating.  Always mucking around and taking ages.  You'd think after she'd been booked she'd get her act together but she still didn't.  It was unbelievable.

Just thought I'd mention, those nets were not attached to the ground very well at all.  When we scored the penalty the ball slipped under it and I thought we'd somehow missed.

And it was a welcome relief to have a commentator who didn't have to clear his throat 24/7.

Rosie White and Percival = class

already been said but ill add to it- keeper is way out of her depth, she looks unfit and slow for the pace of this game- shown up on 3rd goal
but ill keep it positive- way to go girls, continuing to redefine NZL women's football by beating traditional football nations when the men struggle against minnows

oh, no thats actually negative

C'mon Kiwi win the third match and qualify!

I share everyone's sentiments about Charlotte Wood, she is off the pace and it is her own fault; imagine knowing you are going to a WC tournament and not getting yourself fit. Overweight and slower than a sloth. (The animal, not the YF member). And Herdman selecting her is even more mind-boggling.

That said, a win at a WC tournament is not to be sneezed at. Should have proabaly been about 5-1 rather than 4-3 but never mind, a win's a win.

To be fair she's most likely faster than me

When I first saw her I thought of Ross Nicholson for some inexplicable reason

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Percival was the wrong player booked so shouldnt have been sent off. Kiwis going to appeal booking/ suspension so hopefuly will play v England.

we should have scored more than 4, had so many chances.
Good result.

So you mean she looked fat and over weight and got picked on reputation when there is a better keeper on the bench?

I can just hear the American scholarships knocking at Rosie White's door!

Two hatricks in her past three games for International teams not fancied to win.
And at only 15 representing NZ at U17 and U20 is an achievement in itself.
Good luck to her in the future!

Great win and against the hosts with 16000 fans looking on.  Can we sign Rosie White to the Phoenix please lol...  is this the same keeper that was in the u17 world cup?  I thought our keeping in that tourney here in NZ was excellent...

Oh and if you're watching highlights look at that 5-0 win by Brazil over Mexico, their third goal is freaking fantastic - BEST... THROW IN... EVER.

She was meant to be the U-17 keeper but got injured just before the opener so Victoria Essen replaced her.

And no disrespect to Charlotte because she is from mighty Rotorua but I think that is an injury that worked out quite well

So how do people rate our chances against England?  They beat Chile by two while we only managed by one, and they drew with Nigeria who beat us.

Nigeria were lucky to beat us and we should have beaten Chile by double figures.

So, England to steal an undeserved win.

I thought Hannah Wall was outstanding.....she's a class act, so much skill and pace.

Hope Percival gets off on appeal. The manager screwed up, he should have subbed her when the game was won. Why take a risk of a second yellow card for a key player.

Great entertainment though....womens football has been a revelation. Hope they deal to England. Just need to tighten up the defense. Attack is no problem.

You cant over turn a two yellow card = red card suspension.
Cant get yellows undone.
