So it will be like a typical Wellington winters day. No humidity, no heat and mainly overcast. Excellent for us.

I must admit I was completely shocked by the Christie selection. Is this a piss take? Has Herbert lost his grasp on reality? This guy can't even make an ASB team and has barely played for the last two years. Fair call if he was an excellent player in his day but he never was.....he was not called Plodder for nothing. So he has gone from playing a bit of amateur pub football in Florida to playing a key position in defense in THE most important game in NZ football for the last 4 years.

I really wonder whats going on sometimes in NZF. The total lack of professionalism is unbelievable. I have spent a considerable amount of money flying back from Europe for this game and what do you get. A coach who leaves fulling fledged professionals playing in decent Leagues out of the squad and in some pathetic point proving exercise selects players who he personally did not rate while coaching the Nix.

Sorry about the rant(pissed off too that the Mexicans have left out Hernandez and Dos Santos etc, at least watching world class players would have made it a worthwhile exercise)

So now we have Mexico B vs New Zealand C. Might write a letter to the Commerce Commission....I've been had.(ha!...this is irony by the way)

If NZ can scratch a positive result (a draw or away victory there,) then everything will turn your way, even a stalemate is gonna put Mex people real mad.  Mex Players will have second thoughts for every move in the return leg,.. they will just crumble .   This is the chance because this Mexico side, average at most, is like a ghost team a made-up team for this 2 legs,  since their rich lords and barons of football there they fucked up everything since 2013, and are pointing out people around to take the blame. 

Great to overhear conversations about the All Whites on the bus ride home tonight, even if they were misinformed. For instance: "Wellington's weather won't be an issue for Mexico though, because heaps of their players play in Europe"
