Think you've got your threads in a twist Doloras.

Re Manel's departure, it's now or never for Milos to show he can step up.

I'm pretty much sold that it will be never.

Actually I should rephrase that. You guys actually have some hope that he can?

Manel Esposito: 2 and 1/2 years a City player in the ASB and beyond; only NZ resident player to have played - and ever likely to play - on the same pitch as - let alone in the same team with ... LIONEL MESSI !!!

Adios Manel, and thanks for all your goals.

I'm quite partial to bubbles. Read the ACFC link above. You think Esposito was telling porkies? And Ramon & Co. just took him at his word?

Partial to bubbles..wouldn't happen to be a West Ham fan would you? Ah ok I see, I'll have a little read. Yeh it is incorrect as I know for a fact a young ex-Auckland, Canterbury and current HBU player has played against the worlds best player in his younger years (same pitch, not same team..so congrats to Manel on that front)

Wow...bit of a harsh comment there Chester. I was just basically stating that Manel is NOT the only NZ based player (and to be fair, Peverley is probably the ONLY NZ national who actually has - someone correct me if not, I won't then have a rant against that player no matter what his ability is) to have played on the same pitch as Messi.

But I suppose you can have a solid opinion as i'm sure you have had a better career than Peverley and all the rest of the players you dislike.

I was talking about Messi being supposed best player in World you muppet!! 2 team league (B*rcelona and Real) never done anything at a World Cup????

Was merely guessing that Peverley was the player you refered too.

Hahahaha well let's just call it crossed wires then...thought you were referring to Auckland/Waitakere as the 2 team league.

Apologies on my behalf, as I kind of feel the same about Messi.

And yes, your guess was spot on

Thanks for all the news. I just checked Waitak's website to see if there are updates on the (ex) Marshall plan. Their latest news is dated May 21st. Behind the 8 ball with media as well as on the pitch it seems.

Tune into TV ONE tonight for "Seven Sharp" as they screen the weekend launch of "One Day One Dream" featuring Bradley Woon. Brad was diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumor on 28 September 2012 and has since undergone numerous operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Prior to this Brad was just like any other happy 14 year old. Along with his twin brother Adam, older sister Chelsea and older brother Luke the family is football and softball mad with each competing to a local and national level. Auckland City's captain and senior All White Ivan Vicelich joined the "One Day One Dream" crew last Saturday to help create a special weekend that the Woon family will never forget. Make sure to tune into tonight's show...

Granted, but it wasnt purpose built by the franchise to gain entry in the competion which I believe is the point FU BLU is making

I attended a couple of those early TW vs ACFC games at Newtown Park and thought the facilities were good and the atmosphere enjoyable. It's a pity TW now has to resort to Miramar's open ground for financial reasons.

are you sure they choose DF over Newtown for financial reasons?

It seems that it is very difficult for him, because Düsseldorf have said they sign still one player for this season.

And this should be a Forward, but when Feneridis makes a good start and have a lot of luck then he can offer a contract and would be the first player from ASB Premiership in the 2.Bundesliga.

This would be great.

Alex has been a good player for ACFC and will be missed at Kiwitea Street if he signs for Fortuna, but good luck to him if he can pull it off. Exposito to the Belgium second division and now possibly Feneridis to Germany's second tier, shows the ASBP in a good light.

Disagree. Chasing a pro contract and regular income. Anyway, like Carlos H he's coming back.

i was referring to the perception of the league, not what ended up in his back pocket

it's good news that he's coming back

so, it sounds like there are a few signings at auckland - krishna, de vries, berlanga, any more?  anyone leaving?  are there going to be any kiwis on the pitch?

I think its hard when imports come into the country and leave again to say 'this shows our league is quality' They are meant to come and go so for me Berlanga and Exposito are red herrings.

That just leaves Feneridis chasing an overseas deal. Unless I am mistaken, that's 1 player across 8 teams x20 players.....
