Browne got a scholarship to attend St Peters in Auckland in 2011 (I think). Next year aged 16 (I think) he was playing for not only St Peters but also for ACFC in the ASB, and was in their squad for the Club World Cup.

NB He was already living in Auckland when he represented PNG at the Fifa Under-17 qualifiers in NZ in 2011.
