I've been researching Auckland's new Basque goalie Enaut Zubikarai from Real Sociedad.
Decent pedigree - as recently as 2014-15 season he made 16 appearances in la Liga for Sociedad (a Basque country team).
2013-14: was their preferred keeper in Copa del Rey games on the way to the semi-final.
2009 - 2010: Twelve appearances in winning the Second Division.
His dad spent decades in jail for involvement in Basque terrorist activities with ETA (no suggestion he was ever involved himself - but some sources suggest it may have hindered his career since clubs outside the Basque region were reluctant to sign him).

"Their major new signing is Spanish goalkeeper Enaut Zubikarai, who spent more than a decade in the Real Sociedad system. For long spells, he was a reserve keeper -- for a time behind Chilean stopper Claudio Bravo, who has since turned out for Barcelona and Manchester City -- but still made 46 La Liga and Copa del Rey appearances, including games against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Valencia.
The 32-year-old Zubikarai, who also played in the Champions League, made five appearances for Tondela in the Portuguese first division last season."
