Good to see a $55 season pass available now. Still twice as dear as other NZFC outfits however...
Link me?
Was tossing up getting an $100 one but thats just too expensive.
was there no-one else worth a look playing up front in the mainland comp?
on the other hand, good to see russell back.
only the two up front?surely a bit thin.
Canterbury United
Hi all. I realise this is covered in the other thread, but I feel it is important for there to be some discussion and action specifically to do with Mainland Football's decision to remove Canty Utd from the NZFC.
To recap, 6 months after taking over Canty Utd, Mainland Soccer blame poor communication from NZF and financial constraints in their reasonings to withdraw. The communication excuse is a little embarrassing considering one of the Mainland board members is on the NZF board. And also thought that another was also part of the review of the NZFC. No consultation with clubs, who all contribute financially, no nothing. Here is what we have on offer for our elite players in the region:
- No men's side in the National League
- No women's side in a sidelined National Women's League
- No youth side in this year's NYL, and perhaps not allowed into next seasons
Looking for thoughts and ideas for where we go to from here. Surely super-clubs aren't the way to go.
move to Auckland
Perhaps another Christchurch/Canterbury based bid ALA the Cougars in the NBL.
Oh how embarrassing. Now we withdraw our resignation and we are begging to be back in. Let's hope it happens! What instant effect this thread caused!!!
Power play goes wrong!
the most pleasing thing is our kids subs go to paying the wages of these champions of success.
Domestic Animal.

Keith was the mainland coach yea?
"F**king do something you f**king c*nt"
Greatest piece of management ever.
I hear Ron is looking for a call up....
Are we completely rebuilding the squad?
Pick me, Pick me.
Perhaps Spam Utd could enter a team or go to the trials.
Good to see they will be having a National youth league team
Tis good. At one stage we had no youth, womens or mens teams! So now we have 2/3, lets hope the women get back on track as there is plent of talent (wasn't going there) in CHCH.

Taking the year off
For how long though? How many times he walked out now?

Dragons team launched on monday night.
Big news is the signing of Aaron Clapham, back from Aussie for the season. Can't believe Otago didn't try and pick him up lol.

Glen Collins and Gareth Rowe, both former All Whites in the squad as well. Looking good.
Fingers crossed we can start to look like a real team again this time around. Shame we didnt get Fisher back down here.
Fisher is the best (only) coach I've ever had.
Good to see a $55 season pass available now. Still twice as dear as other NZFC outfits however...

Lancaster and Clapham can both score goals, Frame has been in pretty good form. Turnbull not playing so yes only 2 up front, how many do we need though? pretty handy looking squad, should go well.
theres still a couple of spots left that theyre going to fill over the next couple of weeks tho yeah..?
Clapham will do well up front, Turnbull was good at getting into shooting position but couldn't finish his tea most days.
Good to see a fer Western lads in there..
dirty western White Hart Lane!!
there are a few spots up for grabs from the reports in the paper today.keith said they had a few spots still to fill.sounds like an experienced tema though through the core.
fingers crossed for a good start.expect it to take a couple of weeks.
kamo to score one in a 1-1 draw
