You've seen him play how many times? He's really starting to hit his straps now, reading and controlling the game well. he and Josh smith are turning into a very good central midfield combo.

Highfield is class, gets better with age. Collett is struggling to make the side as Terris and Wortleboer hit their straps. a good problem to have as Julian is decent as well.

[quote=Jeff Vader]4: How the fuck does anyone rate Russell Kamo. I mean, really? There must be better strikers than him in the S.I.

You're kidding me right? He's leading the line in one of the best teams in the premiership and you think he's just lucky to be doing that? Ffs.

Thing is there are a couple of better strikers in ChCh in Ash Wellbourn and Gareth Turnbull both from Coastal Spirit who finished first and second in the golden boot in the last Mainland Premier League season, Turnbull is unavailable (coached Mainland Pride) while Wellbourn is biding his time on the bench in his first Premiership season. Expect to see him start in the 2nd part of the season after Christmas as the Dragons build towards the finals.

[quote=Jeff Vader]I think Waitak are the better team across the park. The addition of Mulligan has allowed them to just let Pearce, Krishna and De Vries to roam and sit higher - he will get them the ball. Last year, De Vries and Pearce had to come a bit deeper at times cause there was not that delivery into the right spots.

All in hand, Waitak have been training on artificials for the game, Braithwaite has been doing his own reconnaissance.

[quote=Jeff Vader]The potential is there to upset the usual suspects as always but I really do doubt it based on experience and pedigree of players involved. Looking at how the league is shaping, it'll be Canty and (depending what the hell is going on with TW) probably HBU that will join the other 2 in the top 4.

Agreed. What the hell is going on at team Wellington? Seems to be less than the sum of the parts. Is the relationship with the 'Nix not working that well?
