you obviously never read what was written.
Over the course of the season they have more Nz eligible players and have thrown in youth products which is a big change for Acfc than using foreign players so much
Yipe I read what you wrote. To quote you -
"Both Auckland and Eastern Suburbs dominating the league , should see them in the finals.
Good to see both teams full of Nz youth players, most of whom have came through a non Nz football processed coaching set up (Ole and Suburbs)"
and below (referring to ACFC)
"Thier starting 11’s have had more eligible Nz players and have a squad with a fair few.
Also seen to have more coming in from the youth team now"
Yet when I look at the NZ eligible players they had starting in Handy round January 12-13th, they had the equal lowest with Southern United.
Then Andrew Voerman far out does me with a detailed breakdown of NZ eligible player and NYL stats at the various Handy clubs. To quote him "City's NYL > NL progression remains the worst of any team."
I see ACFC signed a Colombian winger Omar Guardiola (who's already played for Southern & Tasman?), and a Swedish striker earlier this month.
ACFC are getting better, but they are still one of the worst clubs for bringing through young NZ talent. If they seek to use mostly imported overseas talent to win trophies that's their perogative, as long as no one says they are doing the opposite. On the other hand likes of Eastern Suburbs ("Ole's summer academy"), are doing a really good job giving young NZ talent a chance.
