Coaches getting sent off is a bad look. It doesn't help the team. Usually distracts them and the game gets even worse. HB finish was an exception to this. As a coach you are most effective on the sidelines encouraging players and making subs and using your footballing brain.
I guess to be fair he was still doing all of that after being sent off. He just had to do it via passing notes and repeatedly ignoring referees instructions.
