Don't understand what the fuss is all about Roy's alleged breaking of contract. Not sure what the terms of this (again) alleged extension are, but if it existed and was easily triggered by the club, they would have done so already, don't you think?
...and if it's automatic based on appearances or game time rather than triggered by either party much like a number of off-season renewals with the Phoenix from last season?
...and if miraculously an uninjured player is suddenly 'injured' in the week(s) before any extension might be triggered?
Both are conjecture but there are plenty of rumours bouncing around in Wellington circles, much like numbers approaching a million dollars being demanded. Note none of this makes the Herald's detailed investigation (aka a phone call from Rex Dawkins - It's just like it's still the Terry Maddaford era).
