Roy could have gone elsewnere but is placating his wife me thinks.
Given the fact that the Hindu-nationalist party just won a big majority in the Indian elections, and they've overseen massacres of Muslims for terrible crimes like eating beef... why do you think Roy's wife, who is Muslim, would be really keen about living in Kolkata? Almost like a gay couple moving to Russia.
