yes i agree.things did get very interesting on saturday...i managed to make it to the game on saturday and was impresed with the way caversham played...i'm abit surprised that they didn't go any further in chatham cup to be honest...i'm predicting caversham to win easily this weeknd...there was a little scuffle near the end but i didn't manage to see who was involved...can anyone shed some light on the situation?
It is gearing up to be a huge game in the Southern Premier league this
weekend with reigning champs Caversham taking on minnows Dunedin
Technical. The game is quickly being named as the "real chatham cup
final."
Technical are three points clear of Caversham, however Caversham
have got a game in hand. Technical had the opportunity to win the
league last weekend but got beaten by a 12 manned Caversham side, with
ref Jeff Clamp running the show in the middle for the red and white
machine.
This weekend however, will hopefully be a different story for the
Technical lads. Technical are apparently looking to change things up
as the star of the squad (Cambell "Mr. Soccer" Parkin) has said he
wants to be more involved in the build up.
Campbell - also known to many as "mr soccer" or "the kaiser" has
owned many a striker this year, although he has stated rather clearly
in the press that he needs more of the ball for his team to win. in an
interview earlier this year kaiser said to me in an interview that "I
am obviously the best defender in the league - let alone the best
player. Why they just dont give me the ball more is baffeling!"
So the question this weekend will be: Will the Kaiser get what he
wants or will Caversham have their way with Tech for the 2nd game on
the trot.
All the best to both teams and if you are reading this Kaiser - take it to them!
