It was a cracker game on a beautiful day. Great venue and good crowd (peretty vocal when the header went in and popped back out)
Otago are much improved on previous years, it is great to see that it is from local players who are stepping up. There is an understandable lack of depth once past the starting 11. Otago is also limited to what it can do on the field with the players it has, ie pacey wingers, overlapping fullbacks, one footed midfielders. They are trying to play an attacking style with the 4-3-3 formation, which is awesome.
I think we will struggle to make top four (two Auck, YHM) but will give it a shot and play entertaining football.
