I think Roslyn were a good club when they had the likes of Barry White, Parkie, Tony Martin and Andy Duncan involved - not only that they had some impressive players and from memory that season went to the wire. Unfortunately in-house politics have destroyed that and when TM and AD were forced out for impeding T Boylans development as Head Coach the club really did go a way in which left many players disillusioned and hence your exodus back to Tech. That and Roslyn's close allegiance with Soccer Otago has really made a mockery of the league down here with special privileges like hosting the annual awards night and the such making other clubs very disappointed.
Kennedy2009-02-27 09:56:45I am not sure that is completely true Dino - I must admit there have been many players going back and forth from Tech to Roslyn and vise versa but I put this down to title chasing. Caversham seems to be able to hold on to there players and they hang around for long stints - look at the likes of Aaron Blaker, Tim Cook and Rich Murray - maybe this is down to the success of the team or the coaches....?
