'The guy' is obsessed with Mosgiel because he has spent his entire life there and loves the club and his mates who play there. He left GI (they didn't get rid of him) and he's currently the best right full back in the league.
He has no aspirations to play rep football like all the fantastic footballers who play for southern, he just likes being a part of the club he loves and beating you spineless c****. You'd be hard pushed to find a better guy to have at your club; the guy's a hero, makes all the new and young players feel welcome and has singlehandedly created probably the best club atmosphere. I couldn't give a shark where he came from - he's part of my team now and a farkin top lad. As for the comparison between spurs and gunners - GI and Mosgiel would be the rivalry between 2 pub teams in the UK - if that were the case people wouldn't have had a crywhen it got testy during the cup game. Going into this weekend we had the best defensive record in the league.. not bad for a team that conceded fark loads last year. I don't mind banter but don't call out one of ours without naming yourself first - keep banter to banter. While I'm at it - we're not in the league to make up numbers - we're coming for the title and the joy we get in winning is farking superb seeing how many of these posts are hoping we fail. It's pathetic and it's on.

Tech too good in the Fletcher and youth grades for the Mosgiel boys.
Brooke couldn't have complained had Tech put 7 on his first team two good saves by ZG and another cleared off the line.
Just outplayed pure and simple - credit where credit is due. Tech deserved it we didn't get off the bus today. 0-0 at halftime to go down 1-4 is just not good enough. But it is our first loss and even Tech have lost twice - it's up to everyone now to slow down Cavvy. We're hurting on this but I think this will define us for the better. I'm over it already - that's football and we've got a Chatham Cup to game to get up for and a whole other round to play and then some. We're easy - a lot of banter but you roll with it. I don't mind personally - except the Tech bench at halftime that called me Chubbs.... that hurt. I'm going to continue drinking Mountain Dew and playing World of Warcraft while crying to myself... ha! I guess what I'm saying is there's more to life than football, it's over who gives a shark.

I note that at a meeting in December 2012 Otago United and Football South discussed the possible introduction of a levy ($10 for senior and masters players, and $5 for all juniors) to support the national league entry. Did this levy ever proceed, and if so, from when?

Hello. No, not at this point. Was happy to initially croud-source any feedback on the subject. As a former fanzine editor I was just as much interested in harvesting any fan/player awareness of policy issues on this subject as much as absolute confirmation of implementation - which can be cross-checked later.
(Sometimes the response/lack of response on a forum is a handy barometer of insights/how aware punters are of policy etc)
