Knowledge I was thinking pretty much the same thing. I'm so bloody angry right now. Bringing Govan on after 81 min is just a huge insult to the guy. I've been moaning about Burgess forever now - but the coaches are scared of him and don't have the balls to bench him. I can understand them wanting to try Mepham at the start because Day was rubbish against Wellington, but what's with Ridden on for Da Costa (who was injured I guess)? Ridden just isn't close to the right level, so it should have been Day that came on surely? Oh that's right, RIdden plays for Cavy! I have some inside info from Waikato about they way they were going to attack us today. They felt we could only defend when our backs were against the wall (ie Auckland, Waitak and Wellington) but if we tried to play openly they would expose the holes right through our back four. And they did - the way we are defending is going to cause this particular class of 2012/2013 to have the worst defensive record ever. We've conceded 20 goals already - in 2006 we only conceded 25 and that was from 21 games! The only positive I can see to today is that Tristan at least didn't play centre back and he scored - well done him, but he must be bloody furious.
