How are G.I so damn confident about this season? They have the same team as last year. staying 4th is about as good as it could get for them this season. Roslyn, Tech and Cavvy are far better and will have no issues gathering more points than the bloody Onions. They'll be in a fight for 4th with Mosgiel and Varsity just like last season.

Keeping the majority of the same team, along with a good coach is going to bring nothing but good to G.I? Are you seriously that f**king stupid? Along with the youth in their team, and the players who have vastly improved from Otago Utd and Otago Utd Youth they will be a vastly improved side. Along with a few minor pickups that none of you meatheads know about, I am confident about G.I placing in the upper echelon of the SPL.

Theyr'e minor pick ups for a reason so that point is invalid. Gannon and Joel are likely to miss large parts of the season. They finished 19 points behind Cavvy last season, 18 behind Tech and 4 behind Roslyn and lost more games than they won (6 v 7) not to mention being knock out of the cup by Old Boys'. Was thier season actually that good last year?

Of a possible 36 points against the other teams in the top 7 (Cav, Tech, Ros, Uni, Mos & Qtown) they picked up 9 points. 2 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses.
