More transfer news, Sanni Issa, who had a brief stint at Coastal Spirit in the MPL in 2020 before returning north to play in the Northern Premier League for Manakau United and then Birekenhead United is back in Christchurch and has signed for ChCh United with Lachie McIsaac joining Cashmere Technical from Melville United

Lachie McIsaac rejected Chch Utd in signing for Tech

Hmmm, I wonder if everything is going ok over at Christchurch Utd...

Dasvidanya.

Bizarre interview. No mention about his assets being frozen either which is worst kept secret in chch football. Wonder how all the player/coach payments are still going ahead currently

Maybe partly. But I was speaking to a Ukrainian last year in NZ, who pretty much said exactly the same thing. The Ukraine-Russia situation is complicated, something that very very few NZers (or any foreigners) would fully grasp, and you need to go well back in history to get a real good understanding of it.

And that's not to defend Putin/Russia, it's just I think people from there (both countries) seem to get frustrated by uneducated foreigners asking them dumb questions. Sort of part of their DNA, and they just can't be bothered.
