Into the final 6 rounds of the league and what will the table look like at the conclusion of Round 18 - all scheduled to be played on 30 August at 1pm.
Unless there is a dramatic reversal of form Cashmere Technical (34 points) look to have the title wrapped up, 9 points will guarantee them their second SL title, and this will reduce if Ferrymead Bays drop points.
Second to fourth place looks to be a tight battle between Bays (25), Coastal Spirit (22) and Nomads (21) and all three have to play each other so positions could switch around after each round, with Bays and Nomads both looking to secure their first top three finish.
Nelson Suburbs (18) recent form has moved them into the top half of the table, and a strong finish could bag them a top three finish.
Northern (17) have impressed in their SL debut and look set to finish in a comfortable and deserved mid table position, and no doubt they be looking to secure their first win on the road before the season ends.
Christchurch United (12) currently sitting in the unfamiliar position of 7th place and yet to find any sort of consistent winning form, yet to win two games on the bounce. They will surely need all of the 18 possible points to have any hope of a top five finish. United need to finish a position behind Coastal if they wish to secure one of the two automatic qualifying spots,, from the Southern League for the expanded Winter National League which will commence in 2027.
The remaining three sides, Dunedin City Royals (10), Selwyn (7) and Wanaka (7) look set to battle it out to avoid the relegation spot, with all three yet to face each other, with the Royals have the advantage of the superior goal difference.
The run-in for each side is as follows:
