Perhaps due to the travel costs, NZF needs to be the administering body for the second level of the pyramid as well as the first.
Not sure what other options they could be looking towards for 2028 since it'll be tough getting around the entry fee. Just gonna have to wait another year and see.
Yes and the $250k is to be shared between both the men's and women's Southern League.
