Do wonder though if smaller conferences may actually be a positive thing?
On the one hand it's good to have clubs willing and able to participate, on the other, going from 10 teams to 16 would be a drop down in quality, and that being 12 or 13 instead may alleviate that a bit.
Would it be better for Dunedin to have 3-4 teams rather than 5, and likewise Invercargill 1 team rather than 2? Just thinking of how the talent will be spread.
