1-1 at HT. Ytak have done alright so far. Can't really be arsed with the rest of the game i'm off to bed. Think it will end up 4-1 to Adelaide.

Three for me, and two for them.

I thought the Gacy picture was a crack at Chris Milicich. The resemblance is uncanny.

This is very very big for Oceania football, just shows what a good professional buildup can do.  They could well keep a place at the CWC for Oceania and thats vitally important for New Zealand Football

Still a half to go yet. I'm sure Vidmar will realise that 3 people marking nobody isn't a great idea. I have to laugh at them playing 4-2-3-1 against a NZFC team..

btw is it just me or does Krishna remind anyone else of a much smaller Bertos

Credibility is all we need Valeo, it's fine to be underdogs, thats expected, but some level of competitiveness is the key.  I mean Adelaide would struggle against Man U in much the same way Waitak are against Adelaide but thats not a reason for kicking Asian sides out out and it shouldn't be a reason to kick Oceania out either

Disappointed with Krishna so far. Heard a lot of good things about him but his control has been awful.

I mustn't judge too harshly though, it's only been 45 minutes.

Huh? He's been the only semi creative player for Waitak. He has started better in the 2nd half. He made one very good run in the 1st half. He was playing in a mostly defensive position so you can't really blame him.

And I agree with your comment JD

Mind you I'm not actually watching the game so I have no idea how they are actually playing...just going by the score really!

Waitak need to score soon. They will obviously tire in the last 30 as the adrenaline wears off.

Creating several real dangerous half chances here.  Waitakere doesn't exactly roll off the tongue for Korean commentators...

has anyone noticed how New Zealand sides in FIFA competitions (I'm thinking of the U17s, 20s and the Olympics as well as CWC) always end up conceding penalties, and also getting red cards?  I don't think we're dirty, so is it clumsiness or bad refereeing?

Traveridis comes short at a Reid free kick, glanced header inside the far post.

Whiter Kerry (as the Aussies call them) giving a good account of themselves after 15 mins. Krishna copped a yellow for absolutely nothing and he's still flying into tackles. Easy there, young fella...

89 minutes... that might be all I'm afraid.

Adriano makes a great run and puts a ball through for Vincent which he held just a fraction too long. Last chance ?
