Hawkes Bay 2 Waitak 1 - Jarrod Smith scores the winner 3 mins in injury - ACFC v TW a massive game now - will Waitak choke?

I think it hurt not having Lovemore on the right and Roy on the left.
But what an All Whites combo, lovemore and Dakota on the right & up front then Bevan and Jarrod Smith left and front.

Nice to see some depth.
This result ends the one way traffic, like a coming of age for the NZFC comp.

6-1 over Waitkato.  That just about nails it for the season.
Unless Auckland beat Waitakere and Canterbury by a total of 9 plus goals.

Waitak AcFc this Sunday, Waitak would need a 4-0 win to make up the goal difference & draw even on points.
Still, after beating Waikato 6-1, who knows what's possible.

They need a 2-0 win at go top of the group not 4-0 as both teams would have +2 GD and the would be top on goals scored
i made same mistake myself when i 1st saw it
Amicale have all but won Group A barring a 13 goal turn around in last round

You're right about Amicale too, they knocked off Lautoka 5-1.
Note the "live scoring" from this and Magenta v Tefana 3-0, so Magenta are on 7 points.
The OFC woman covering the Beach Football Championships said there was no landline internet link at Tefana's grounds, but figured it out in any case.  Thanks Priscilla!!

Waitakere have been strong this season, but what about the final without Chris Bale? Hopefully it won't go to penalties.

Man, haven't been able to catch any of the games with work all weekend  frustrating as fk. Still, hope we can beat City, but gonna be a huge ask. Not sure if we can win, tbh.

Hey lads, couldnt find a thread about it, but waitakere are playing a cook islands selection randomly while im here in rarotonga... went and had a look at their ground, really nice, looks like a great surface and a nice stand - opened by temariii and funded by fifa im guessing?

Anyhow, im guna pop along on saturday (sunday nz time) and have a squizz... anyone I should look out for in particular? Any highly rated youngsters for the future?

Loving the $3 entry fee :)

Well obviously not much support for this team :)

Went to the game, Waitakere schooled them 8-1. Got some great footage too, an amazing save from the cooks keeper, and a great volleyed goal from one of the waitakere fellas.

Hi all,

For those interested, Waitakere United downed Fijian club Rewa 4-1 at Bill McKinlay Park last Sunday, and they met in a return clash at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori, Fiji, this evening.

The outcome was a 1-1 draw. Aaron Scott put through his own net before Allan Pearce equalised.

Waitakere now take on Ba at Govind Park on Sunday.

Cheers,

JR

I am pretty sure  Krishna was offside, but the linesman on that side of the field was...not fit enough to keep up with the game...  few times. It would be nice to see replay.

Im not sure what was worse in the game the scoreline or the officiating!! The two linesman in the game were appalling at best. Not a good look for Nz Football. They missed many off sides and were flagging for fouls that weren't even there. The Keeper was sent off after Krishna was clearly 5 yards offside and ran through. Jan Hintz i think his name is, should be stood down for a couple of weeks, his performance shouldn't be acceptable at this level. No doubt Waitakere would have gone on to win the game anyway as they played some nice football and always going to create alot more but the standard of officiating in that game was disgraceful for long parts.

Waitakere won 1-0 at AS Mont Dore today, thanks to Chris Bale's headed effort five minutes before half-time. But they played the last half-hour with ten men, following Tim Myers' dismissal for a tackle from behind.

The win leaves Waitakere well placed to win the group and advance to the O-League Grand Final, as in the other match AS Tefana leads Ba 2-0 at half-time in Papeete. If that result stays the same, Waitakere will be five points clear with three rounds to play.

If I had put cold hard cash into the game, I'd go spaso before the game. Might make a difference.

Strange why it took so long is Marshall was the word at the start of August.

I think it will have an impact in the short term but like everything else things move on.

I would suspect it would be the Paul Marshall factor, because all his Bay O mates are there and he wasn't really getting a run at shit-teh because they got fucked off everytime he came on and just clattered opponents. They play a brand of football that his style just does not fit in with. Reminds me of Matt Fowler from years gone by.
