The NIX juniors are better of playing in the NZFC than the youth - the standard is higher. Yes they will get beaten regularly, but (to use an OLE reference) its not about the scoreline for them.

In the last two years Singh and Carcace have made the step up to the A League. I doubt this would have occured if they we playing in the Youth League.

On top of that, James McGarry has stepped into a first team in the Dutch Eredivisie at Willem II immediately on signing and Ollie Whyte has been signed in recent months by top Portuguese side Rio Ave:
