The Weenix are not there to win the national comp.

They are there to give our best young players a place to develop and a team for our injured/part-time first-teamers to find fitness. Forgetting covid, it has achieved these two goals admirably.

Singh, Waine, Cacace, Bell, Elliott are all 21 and under and playing in Europe!! Two of our other non NZ eligible players are also doing well with one at Olympic Marsaille and the other the number 2 draft pick this year for MLS.

NZF and the NIX don't need an uppercut, but a well done.

We have never seen the quality of talent we are seeing now before, and so many when you also add in the OLE kids as well.

Bang on. Anyone griping about their place in the league is the one that deserves an uppercut. The league exists for the betterment of NZ football and the betterment of NZ football does not constitute paying players that havbe peaked pokie money for "coaching". I personally think the system is a nice balance between development and competitive integrity.
