So I thought of this on the way home from New Plymouth ... oops

Anyway, to the tune of the Xmas song "a partridge in a pear tree"

  

I once was selected by Anthony Hudson for the New Zealand football team

But I didn't have a passport - I was not eligible

For the New Zealand football team


A second time selected by Anthony Hudson for the New Zealand football team

But I was not a citizen - I was ineligible

For the New Zealand football team


A third time selected by Anthony Hudson for the New Zealand football team

But I was not resident for five full years - 

Not eligible for the New Zealand

 

A fourth time selected by Anthony Hudson for the New Zealand football team

But I had no Kiwi parent - I was ineligible

For the New Zealand football team


No New Zealand passport!

Not a citizen!

Not resident for five years!

No kiwi parent!

 

So I was ineligible

For the New Zealand football team

So I was ineligible
