I appluad everyone who is willing to contribute. Well done for stepping up and sharing the idea.

Personally I am not a fan of this one, however.

For two reasons:

Firstly, we're NOT by far the greatest team Australia, or even the league has ever seen. We've had half a good season, and before that our high points have been moderate and not exactly common. I think we'd look like cocks singing this after half a season of playing as well as but not necessarily better than the other three top teams in the league this season.

Secondly, and more importantly, why do we want to be pissing the Aussies off? I don't understand that aim at all. We want them to cherish us being int he competition, don't we?

Football chants aren't always supposed to be 'correct'.

Of course we aren't the best team Australia has ever seen.

You'll hear supporters from teams like Sunderland and Charlton sing this too, only to swap the word 'Australia' with 'the world'.

Do they think they're the best team in the world. Most likely not (and if they do, they would need to have their brains checked).

I reckon that the perfect chant on New Years Day last year, when we beat WSW at Pirtek stadium, would have been:

Can we play you

Can we play you

Can we play you every week?

Caaaaan we play you every week?

(and no, of course we don't want to play them every week, but it would certainly p1ss off the WSW fans, which often is one of the main ideas behind a football chant).
