I will be there as usual with my 2 boys in YF shirts in the away bay. There will be plenty of room (except for the lousy Jets fans that want the good seats). Looking forward to the game as me and the boys are flying to Wellington on Wednesday for the first time for the 2 Melbourne games then home for the Sydney game. Any advice would be appreciated...make yourself known..
If anyone is interested in the Jets game go to proticket for free tickets. As for the sailing offer I'd love to but would there be room for two youn lads??
Newcastle November 20th
I'm most likely flying over from Wellington on Saturday morning, up to Newcastle for the kick off at 7.00pm.
Anyone else going?
Be good to get on the same flight as any other 'Nix fans - share taxis, stay at the same or near by hotels etc. and sort out where to do pre and post game festivities...
Might catch a train from Sydney for this. Might.
Newcastle what a hole
Hey Peter, any chance you could f*** right off and be a negative prick somewhere else? I am trying to drum up some enthusiasm amongst supporters to get together and commit to going to Newcastle to support the team. You're entitled to your opinion about Newcastle, but frankly, if you want to slag the place off go and start a thread of your own and knock yourself out. I can do without you pissing all over this thread mate.
Settle down mate. I am sure if people are interested they will just ignore my post.
But I do apologize if it has upset you.

Newcastle has only been a hole since they took all the coal away!

Awesome stuff.
Unfortunately my work trip to Canberra has been rescheduled, so I won't be at the Newcastle game.
In Wellington, the Backbencher before the game is the place to be.
Except that from the corner of Mulgrave st and Lambton Quay you can walk across the road, up the stairs, and directly over the train tracks along Fran Wilde Walk straight to the stadium, without having to go around the railway station as google maps shows.
If you're a yachtie let me know - we can probably take you out for a rum race on the harbour on Friday evening.

Cheers for the info, hope to catch you at the games!
Should be - how old?
(of course it's weather dependant... could be a storm blowing)

There'll be two more of us there tomorrow
Thanks for the tip about the free tickets! The only thing I like better than see the Nix win away is seeing the Nix win away for free!
Yes free Nix are good, I going to sit on the Northern end where the away bay should be. Boys are 6 and 9, its a bigish boat then?
either a Ross 930 (9.3 metres) or a Young 11 (11 metres)
Sounds fantastic if possible. Hope to meet you at the game!
There has been a Doofus effect.
My mate, Big Gay Paulie, is the racing secretary for the yacht club. He has been advising people widely that there is in fact a rum race this Friday. However it now appears he has errored, and there is in fact, no race.
The is an alternate old timers race being organised for the club's gaff riggers, but the quantities of rum being discussed do appear to preclude 6 and 9 year olds.
Apologies.
Bardy.
