Also, "That's what everyone thought last season too", not exactly something to be proud about considering Arsenal didn't have the quality to defeat Leicester. No. I am not discounting the quality and astonishment of their PL-winning campaign, but just saying that the Man U of the past under Fergie would've easily won the league last season.

We did indeed have the quality to beat Leicester - twice. The only team that did that. We just didn't have the consistency they had over the entire season, and neither did anyone else

We all say with hindsight that the league was weak last season, but funnily enough we didn't think that before it started.

Lets not forget that Chelsea at the start of it, were champions, had Mourinho supposedly at the top of his game, and had what everyone agreed was a pretty complete squad - world class players right through the spine, plenty of depth, they were hot favourites to repeat.

They got 10th.

Man City were next favourites.

Those teams weren't weak, they were just shown up in a league where you can't be off your game for even a second. There aint no 6 nils against the bottom teams any longer. It's about consistency right through.

Your last point about Fergie is probably true, but how does that support your argument in any way? No one has the record he had in this league, but no one has to compete with him now either.
