Good news!
REAL MADRID admitted last night there are limits to their spending spree, saying they are very far away from meeting Liverpools 35million asking price for Xabi Alonso.
General director Jorge Valdano said Real were also asked to pay 69m by Bayern Munich for Franck Ribery before July 16 or withdraw their interest in the winger.
Xabi Alonso is a priority if he fits into our budget, but that does not seem to be the case, said Valdano. We are very far away from the figures that Liverpool have presented. Liverpool have taken up a difficult stance.
Surprised to hear Real have a budget... I'd say they might go for Ribery first.
